Dog Creek Lodge and Nordic Center is located 3 miles north of Olney. It is approximately 20 miles north of Whitefish, MT on Highway 93 N. You can't miss it as we have a large sign at the entrance.
We maintain 27 kilometers of groomed nordic trails. Our nordic skiing trail system is unique in that it exists both on our own private land as well as on Stillwater State Forest land. Stillwater State Forest is part of the Montana Department of Natural Resources (DNRC). The DNRC holds all of its land in a trust which generates revenue for the Montana public school system. A portion of every trail pass we sell goes directly to Montana public schools.
We opened the Dog Creek Cafe in 2016 to offer a place to eat and relax before and after experiencing the trails. Each year we have expanded the menu. Wood fired pizza, sandwiches, fresh baked goods and your favorite coffee drink are available daily. Availability and service in the cafe may change due to covid-19.
All of our trails at Dog Creek are dog friendly. Your K9 friends must be fixed, friendly and you must pick up after them. This guarantees clean trails for all of our guests. All dog owners must sign a waiver and review our policies at the cafe/ski shop before taking your dogs onto the trail systems. You must keep them either leashed or under verbal control at all times. If you head out onto our trails across Dog Lake, and there are ice fishermen present, your dog must be leashed while on the ice.
Thanks for visiting Dog Creek Lodge & Nordic Center. We look forward to seeing you on the trails for our 2020/2021 ski season!
